About the Journal

01. Mission

Having verified a certain stagnation and a good dose of failure in the textual production of elementary education; having verified that in most cases school research and productions were only intended to acquire a grade; having verified that such productions were restricted to the teacher's knowledge, we decided to create a platform in which such productions could go beyond the walls of the classroom and school walls, obtaining recognition from the entire school community and renewing scientific production practices in basic education. With this mission, Juno magazine was born.

02. Juno

When we chose the name of the Roman goddess Juno as the basis for the periodical, we did so with the intention of paying homage to Latin, the language from which the Portuguese language was born. We also pay homage to the Brazilian northeast, since the current June festivals were born from offerings to the goddess Juno. We also pay homage to the city of Juazeiro do Norte, as the name of the goddess and the magazine refer to the name of this cosmopolitan city.
