Abstract

This article aims to develop a critical analysis of the primacy of poetry over prose in the context of Troubadourism, in the medieval period. This is a narrative and integrative research that brings together and discusses different theoretical perspectives of traditional troubadour literature, seeking to understand the factors that contributed to the predominance of compositions in verse.
