Inpiring biographies in physical education
The example of Abebe Bikila as an instrument for the formation of values

This article argues for the importance of incorporating inspiring athlete biographies into Physical Education classes, highlighting the example of Ethiopian Abebe Bikila. Through a literature review and theoretical analysis, it demonstrates how knowledge of exemplary sports careers can significantly contribute to the development of fundamental values such as resilience, determination, perseverance, and resilience. The study is grounded in contemporary pedagogical theories and empirical evidence that demonstrate the positive impact of using inspiring role models in education. It proposes an integrated methodological approach that combines practical activities with biographical narratives, aiming at the comprehensive development of students.
